This vulnerability affects SMB (Windows Server Message Block) this is the part of the system which deals with Network resources such as access remote printers and access to remote computers.

Microsoft confirmed that currently there is no fix for the problem. Only one solution is to disable SMB and await for update from Microsoft.

Apparently this attack can be performed even if on the machine firewall is enabled.

Introduction to Exchange 2007

For most businesses today, e-mail is the mission-critical communications tool that allows their people to produce the best results. This greater reliance on e-mail has increased the number of messages sent and received, the variety of work getting done, and even the speed of business itself. Amid this change, employee expectations have also evolved. Today, employees look for rich, efficient access—to e-mail, calendars, attachments, contacts, and more—no matter where they are or what type of device they are using.

For IT professionals, delivering a messaging system that addresses these needs must be balanced against other requirements such as security and cost. Enterprise security requirements have become more complex as the demand and use for e-mail has increased. Today, IT departments must contend with e-mail security threats that are wide ranging: continually evolving spam and viruses, noncompliance risks, the vulnerability of e-mail to interception and tampering, in addition to the potential harmful effects of natural and man-made disasters.

While security is clearly a priority, IT is ever cognizant of the need to manage cost. Time, money, and resource constraints are a fact of life as IT is made accountable to do more with less. As a result, IT professionals look for a messaging system that addresses both enterprise and employee needs while also being cost-effective to deploy and manage.

Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 has been designed specifically to meet these challenges and address the needs of the different groups who have a stake in the messaging system. The new capabilities of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 deliver the advanced protection your company demands, the anywhere access your people want, and the operational efficiency you, in IT, need.

Windows Server 2008 R2 Product Overview

Windows Server 2008 R2 builds on the award-winning foundation of Windows Server 2008, expanding existing technology and adding new features to enable IT professionals to increase the reliability and flexibility of their server infrastructures. New virtualization tools, Web resources, management enhancements, and exciting Windows 7 integration help save time, reduce costs, and provide a platform for a dynamic and efficiently managed data center. Powerful tools such as Internet Information Services (IIS) version 7.5, updated Server Manager and Hyper-V platforms and Windows PowerShell version 2.0 combine to give customers greater control, increased efficiency and the ability to react to front-line business needs faster than ever before.

Improving the Web Application Platform

Windows Server 2008 R2 includes many enhancements that make this release the most robust Windows Server Web application platform yet. It offers an updated Web server role, Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.5, and greater support for .NET on Server Core. Design goals for IIS 7.5 concentrated on improvements that enable Web administrators to more easily deploy and manage Web applications that increase both reliability and scalability. Additionally, IIS 7.5 has streamlined management capabilities and provides more ways to customize your Web serving environment. The following improvements to IIS and the Windows Web platform are included in Windows Server 2008 R2:

To expand the Remote Desktop Services feature set, Microsoft has been investing in the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, also known as VDI. VDI is a centralized desktop delivery architecture, which enables Windows and other desktop environments to run and be managed in virtual machines on a centralized server.

We are very happy to let you know that PC Service can provide you with fantastic POS system based on Light Speed. It is very powerful software which can be used to manage any retail outlet or any company where you sell products, provide repair service. Light Speed easily integrate with existing network. Xsilva bold step allows small businesses to save thousands pounds on licenses as Light Speed can be installed on as many computers (apple computers) as you wish, the only limitation is that you can use at the same time up to how many licenses you have activated. With most of the software you have to pay for each instance you wish to have software installed. This means you will save and will provide you with flexibility to operate!

Hi

As you possibly notice, Microsoft start shipping new Operating System Windows 7

we are getting many questions from customers if they should upgrade their system, or buy new PC with Windows 7 and if yes which version to get.

From our experience it is usually better to wait a few months before embracing new Operating System from Microsoft as it can bring frustration to the user. It is very important to ensure that your key application which you use will work fine on Windows 7.

However if you decide that you want to try software our recommendation would be to get Windows 7 Professional.

If you want to get more information or have a chat about this please use our contact form or call us and we will try our best to help you
