It appears that there is a very serious bug which will affect users of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
This vulnerability affects SMB (Windows Server Message Block) this is the part of the system which deals with Network resources such as access remote printers and access to remote computers.

Microsoft confirmed that currently there is no fix for the problem. Only one solution is to disable SMB and await for update from Microsoft.

Apparently this attack can be performed even if on the machine firewall is enabled.

Hi

As you possibly notice, Microsoft start shipping new Operating System Windows 7

we are getting many questions from customers if they should upgrade their system, or buy new PC with Windows 7 and if yes which version to get.

From our experience it is usually better to wait a few months before embracing new Operating System from Microsoft as it can bring frustration to the user. It is very important to ensure that your key application which you use will work fine on Windows 7.

However if you decide that you want to try software our recommendation would be to get Windows 7 Professional.

If you want to get more information or have a chat about this please use our contact form or call us and we will try our best to help you :)
